day of prayer
Today was the Autumn Day of Prayer at Grace Fellowship Church. From 7 in the morning until 12, people were gathered at the church praying for this upcoming year. It didn't exactly seem like the nicest way to spend my saturday as I dragged myself out of bed this morning (to go watch Curious George with my little brother until mom came back), but once I got there, my only regret was that I didn't go earlier! What a wonderful way to spend a saturday; in prayer to the holy God with God's people! It was a great time, and I am so thankful to have such a great church!

back in the groove
Tuesday, September 8th, 2009. The day when, as that first shrill bell of the year rings, everyone leaves the summer behind and heads back to school. It's fun.. maybe.. or it might be not so fun, once you realize that Grade 12 isn't nearly as easy as those other grades were, especially as you're heading home with a full backpack of homework already!
Well, I am very thankful for being able to go to my school, and for the knowledge that I am able to gain as the year goes on, learning more about our wonderful Savior's creation. But I'm (really!) far from perfect, and often am not thankful for my school, and for the sacrifice my parents pay to help me go there. How selfish can I get??!
Anyways, for everyone who might be going back to school today, I want to pass on the challenge that my dad (who is also my pastor) gave this Sunday to us students. And that is to be bold for Christ from day 1 (and if you maybe weren't so bold, or didn't hear of or think of this, day 2 is a good day to start too!). I was thinking last night that, as I go to a Christian school, this is one of the easier places to be bold for Christ in... and yet I am still so scared, and shy back from the open doors that God places in front of me. So let your prayer be the same as mine this school year: to be bold for Christ and to not be ashamed of the one who gave up his life to save you!!

the roller chloester... part two
Well, there were some technical difficulties with my previous blog, "the RollerChloester," and so I have started this new blog. I don't make any promises as to how often I'll be posting, but I'll try to write some things that I have been learning in my own life, so as to encourage you and to bring more glory to God.
